As Big Tech continues to fulfill the state’s agenda of censorship by nuking accounts that post anything disagreeing with the state, it’s time we vote with our fingertips, and support the platforms that support free speech.

I listed below some alternatives to the popular Big Tech platforms. If you have a platform you recommend and it’s not on the list please let me know.

Twitter replacement: Fly away Twitter; you’ve been replaced by Gab. While, not really. While I like the concept behind Gab, allowing for free speech to take place on their platform, the product is not as smooth as Twitter. In addition, there are not the same number of users as Twitter. You can connect with me on Gab.com at https://gab.com/Politechnician

FaceBook Replacements: No longer will you find my Face on your Book. It’s now about Me, and a social network that respects my privacy. I wish this was 100% true; however, like Gab mentioned above, MeWe doesn’t have the vast number of users like FaceBook does. So, while I’ve been posting content on MeWe, and I like the platform’s usability a lot, it’s going to take some time for more people to move to MeWe before it has the same appeal as FaceBook. Another alternative to FaceBook is Minds. I just started using this platform and still getting the hang of it. Minds has a lot of similarities to FaceBook and MeWe, and one of the cool features is the ability to earn crypto currency. I have not used this feature yet so I’ll have to play around with it some before I can say whether it’s a great feature, or not. You can connect with me at https://www.minds.com/politechnician/

Discord: Still trying to get the hang of this one. I like the fact that individuals can start their own server. However, I was disappointed to hear the company can shut down your server if they don’t agree with you! Discord shuts down /r/WallStreetBets server for ‘hate speech’ and more. WhatsApp Replacement: Endorsed by Edward Snowden, Signal is a popular messaging app that is available on mobile and desktop. The advantage of Signal is it offers end-to-end encryption, meaning your message is secure and cannot be read by someone other than your intended recipient, without some sophisticated NSA style hacking involved — and even then, they might not be able to read it with today’s hacking tools. The bottom line, if you want end-to-end encryption when messaging, use Signal.

Another popular encrypted messaging platform is Telegram. While I’ve seen some great reviews of this platform, I have not personally tried it yet so I cannot comment on Telegram at this time. You can find out more and try Telegram at Telegram.org

More alternatives are available for other Big Tech platforms, like Rumble and Odysee as alternatives to YouTube. However, the platforms above are the alternatives I’ve either tried, or are on my list to try, at this time. If you decided to try one of the alternatives listed above please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
